Fermentation Nutrient - YAN source for use in low YAN fermentations

FERMAID K™ is a complex yeast nutrient to assist with fermentation security, especially in low YAN situations. This reliable nutrient provides many essential key elements required by the yeast for growth and reproduction.

Best used at 1/3 sugar depletion if YAN needs cannot be met using FERMAID O™ or one of the STIMULA nutrients.

Frequently used in: Juices, musts, and ciders with low starting YAN

When to add: 1/3 sugar depletion

Provides: YAN as a blend of organic nitrogen (amino acids) and inorganic nitrogen (ammonia)

Recommended Dosage

• 25-50 g/hL (2-4 lb/1000 gal)
• Measurable YAN at 25 g/hL dose: 25 ppm
• YAN equivalents at 25 g/hL dose: 25 ppm

Usage

Suspend FERMAID K in water and mix well before adding, especially during fermentation to avoid CO2 release and overflowing of vessel.

Storage

Dated expiration. Store in a cool and dry environment at 18°C (65°F). Once opened, keep tightly sealed and dry.
