MicroEssentials Oenos is a fermentation nutrient that was developed specifically for malolactic bacteria. It contains a diverse blend of organic protein sources (no inorganic nitrogen source, since bacteria cannot utilize it), vitamins and minerals.
MicroEssentials is strongly recommeded for white wines and red wines that present challenging conditions (i.e. high SO2, high alcohol, low pH) or varietal wines that are notoriously difficult to put through malolactic fermentation- such as Merlot and Zinfandel.
Recommended Dose Rate: 5 g / hl (0.2 g / gal)
50 gram package is sufficient for approximately 4 barrels (240 gallons)
